I needed help with scholarship essays when I met with Oyindamola Shoola. She listened to my story, discussed my scholarship essay, and improved it. She also recommended that I apply to New York University and try out the Community College Transfer Opportunity Program (CCTOP).
I gained admission to NYU and sequentially received two scholarships; $5,000 and $4,700. Working with Oyindamola gave me the confidence to continue my education. Because of her help with my scholarship essay, I was able to attend NYU as a transfer student debt free for the first year and with reasonable costs for the second year.
Without her help, I would not be graduating with honors in May 2023.
